Children’s Miracle Network
WVU Children's Hospital is proud to be a member of the Children's Miracle Network. CMN is a group of 170 non-profit children's hospitals that provide premium care, high-quality research and excellent community outreach programs to help millions of children who have diseases or injuries.
The fundamental philosophy of CMN is to put children first in all its activities, and 100 percent of funds collected remain in the community where they were raised.
CMN hosts many special events and fundraisers that are conducted annually in a joint effort with the children's hospitals, media partners , and corporate groups who are dedicated to working together to ensure the health of children in their communities.
The "Children's Miracle Network Celebration" is the major annual televised fund raiser. CMN also raises awareness and funds by getting community sponsors to sell paper Miracle Balloons, have local radio stations broadcast radiothons, and have groups sponsor dance marathons. These activities generate millions of dollars which are used to provide life-saving care and outreach programs for kids.
The Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization founded in 1983, and its headquarters is located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Visit their website at http://www.cmn.org/ or you can donate to WVU Children's Hospital.
